We are a club consisting of hundreds of members ranging from Life Members to Under-8 Members. We are always looking for new members, especially players, so it’s important to appreciate the range of membership, as follows:
Senior Member (Playing)
Senior Member (Non-Playing)
Student Member (3rd Level)
Family (Parent(s) + children up to 18 yrs)
There are some points which should be highlighted in order to anticipate Frequently Asked Questions:
Application for membership and conferring of membership is based on the Constitution of the Club and, having become a member, one must be bound by the Constitution and Bye Laws of Clonmel RFC
The Club operates a strict policy of non-discrimination in accepting members into the Club
Membership in certain categories (e.g. Life Membership) does not confer any particular privileges on such member or any relative of such member
Membership in any category does not give such member any particular rights in relation to match tickets, but one must be a member in order to be considered for a match ticket. The allocation of match tickets is comprehensively addressed in the Bye Laws of the Club and is administered by the Hon. Secretary.
Membership fees are decided at the Club’s AGM held in May of each year and are due by 30th September of that year. Membership ceases if the renewal fee is not paid by the due date and the facilities of the club are not available to non-members
Players who do not pay their renewal fee by the due date are not covered by the Club’s insurance and may not use the facilities or play for the Club
Because of the fee involved, Life Membership, once accepted by the General Committee, may be paid by Bank Standing Order over a period of three years
