Referees

The Munster Branch is critically short of referees at present. It is also important for us to produce referees as it has an impact on our “Clubs of Ireland” funding. The next referees course will be on 10 th September in Mallow. If you are no longer playing rugby, please give this some consideration. We have a few candidates but need more. If you are interested, please contact J.J. Killian.

Latest News

The Closing Date for entries is Thursday 15th May!

This year's tournament will run from Thursday June 5th with the launch night on Thursday May 29th!

This year, we are considering a few changes. This includes splitting the competition into the following categories:

A section - for the very competitive amongst you,
B section - for the more socially inclined
Over 35s - for, well, you know yourself.

The Over 35s amongst you will still be able to take part in the main competitions, but we are trying to run a section specifically for you as well, if there is enough interest. Your choice of section is only an indicaiton of preference and we will look at your record if you have played with us before. The sections are dependent on numbers and the Committee's decision in this is final.

There are a few changes so please read the rules carefully. The most important of these is that you MUST be over 18 to play and to be on the premises after 9pm, no exceptions. If you are lucky enough to look younger, you must produce valid ID (passport, driver's licence, Garda ID). No ID, no play. The Committee's decision is final. Your team also risks disqualification (with no refund) if there is an illegible player fielded. The Committee's decision in this respect is final.

That's the only big stick that we will be waving! This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before and we look forward to seeing you all sweating all over the pitches... Further information will follow in the next week or so, so keep an eye on your e-mail. Please note that we have a new e-mail address: tagrugby@clonmelrfc.com - please address all enquiries to that e-mail address.
